About dynasty in politics...

“If a doctor's child can become a doctor, or an engineer's child become an engineer, then why not a politician's son a politician - as long as the child can prove his worth and get a ticket on his or her own merit.” Absolutely correct., I agree
A Doctor’s son becomes a doctor only when he gets the proper qualification. An actor’s son becomes an actor only when a producer invests money and he/ she is accepted by the public. The case of politician is different. They bring the child/ spouse from the back door. Either they ride the sympathy wave or they win elections by money or muscle power. If they work for a party for sufficiently large time and earn their ticket on their own , who can question?
The coterie around the powerful men pushes the offspring for their own good.. If Indira Gandhi and Rajeev Gandhi were not assassinated , could congress win the election that followed ? May be not. Could Sonia ever reach the position if Rajeev was alive. What was her contribution to the party or nation before Rajeev’s assassination?
Why Jagan was not inducted into cabinet if he is so talented. The same people who are pushing him would have made a big hue and cry if Rajasekhar Reddy took him, because that would have spoiled their own chance. So it is not the talent that counts in politics.
