Living in harmony

The other day I was all alone at home.I was getting bored. I did not have the mind to read or write or even to browse. Finally I got up and decided to do some thing and engage my self. I brought down all the contents of the drawer of my writing table and started settling them .First I started to segregate the things and group them according to their utility.
I brought a paper bag to dump unwanted useless things. Mean while my wife came and we had a big fight, about which one to keep and which one to throw. Finally, we both agreed to throw away all those things which we did not use in the last couple of years. To my surprise we had to throw away more than 50% of the contents.

Then we started looking around to apply the same rule, to throw away all the things which we have not used in the last few years.

The music system, the tape recorder, the radio and many more have become useless after the arrival of desk top and the desk top it self became useless after the arrival of the laptop.
So the new comes and the old vacates. What is the big deal?
It applies not only to things in cupboards and drawers and contact lists, but also to thoughts, strategies and game plans.

The ODI has taken over Test cricket. The 20/20 has become more popular than the ODI. May be for some time they all have to live together. As long as the fans and players adopt themselves to the changing situation, nothing matters. The old survives as long as its fans do not come in the way of the new. Still we all can live in harmony.
