Another Sad day in Indian History

"How have we arrived at a place where we would do these things to one another?" asked one of my friends from US. Do I have an answer? For that matter do any of us have an answer for that?

We are in a mess, a real mess. We in India most of us are caught between two different thoughts. A group, which had been taught for years in their childhood in their History classes that many a muslim rulers like Ghajani and Ghori invaded our country, Vandalized our shrines looted our precious things, hurt our women and ruled us in the most barbaric way. That imprint made so early in our childhood does not allow us to trust any Muslim. The recent Terror attacks which point again to the Islamic outfits, only bring rage and anger against this community in general.
On the other hand those who came across with many muslim families view this as utter nonsense and can not accept this. No one can brand a particular community. Terrorists have no religion. They are just a group of rouges, mostly misguided youth. We know Islam also contributed largely to the art, culture and history of this country. They have their roots here. They participated in the Independence movement. They brought richness to every field. They live with us and suffer with us in any calamity. They love this country too.So as community it can not be branded as terrorists. We should not grudge nor suspect people in general.

So now we have trust and mistrust. Which way one should go. Should we continue to mistrust and harness anger and retaliation or trust and and become targets so often???
