Role of media...

I have a question for the media, particularly the news papers and TV news channels.
Are they not trying to make fast money by blowing up the news ?Are they really showing concern and trying to serve a healthy and progressive society? Are they showing ethics? Take for instance the case of Kerala chief minister's comment recently. By repeatedly showing the clip, are they not embarrassing the family of late Major Unnikrishnan? Do they have a right to do so?
Secondly I want to ask about the choice of inviting guests to their talk shows. They invite some actor or actress. They utter some stupid things and regret later and the channel becomes busy in showing that again and again, what a joke!
Media must act as a watch dog and play a crucial role in shaping a healthy democracy
It plays its role honestly it will be a great force in building the nation, otherwise it creates more problems. It should serve to inform, educate and entertain with utmost responsibility. Like a mirror, it must show us the bare truth and harsh realities of life.
No one is perfect in the world, so is the media. It must ignore what must be ignored and it must boldly tell what must be told with out any bias.
