I can't accept if any one says that "vast majority"of Muslims had been excluded form the economic boom. I want to ask. " who Excluded them?" Some grab opportunities and some do not. It is the mind set of the people which allows or disallows to take the lead in their development. I know many a Hindu family,in which families of one brother in the same family raising up and another falling down. The same parents bring them up both. It ultimately comes to the attitude.
As we all know the reason for the poverty of many Muslim families is lack of education like any other poor Hindu families in India. The reason for that again the size of the families.I know many a migrated laborer in Hyderabad who send their children to private English medium schools, because they have the right attitude. They want to come up. On the other hand we know many Muslim families in Hyderabad who are living in this city since generations, but they never sent their children to proper school. Why? They take up petty jobs and put their children in those family jobs like auto repair or tailoring or fruit selling. No law enforcing agency can dare to free these child laborers, because the politicians make a big hue and cry about it.
I am not against any religion, but I am against religious fanatics. As a teacher I know how many classes the children miss during the holy months. It has an effect on their academic progress. It is the responsibility of the leadership and educated youth to come forward and take up this issue and stop the seeding of religious fanaticism in young minds be it Hindus or Muslims .
